"Jamal
A Hosn's "Symphonic Poem: 1983"... emotionally
charged... orchestrationally interesting..."
Los
Angeles Times
“His
melodies transcend the depth of the human soul and use the
purity of music to address both the universe and man.”
May
Menassa – Annahar
“The rhythm raises thousands of questions about man
and the universal society, about war, life and death, about
destruction and reconstruction, about delving into the realities
of an electronic planet.”
Yaqzan el-Taqi – Al Mustaqbal
"Jamals’multilingual
music unites various musical components based on natural
elements such as mountains, rivers and water that reflect
colored lights into a virtual reality.“
Asafir
"His
music is a mixture of “strange” and “new”,
not only because he follows the latest and most successful
western trends by visually presenting his music, but also
because his music is aimed right at the listener’s
heart.
"Music,
poetry, melodies and choreography make up his sight and
sound show, which fills theaters all over the world, and
carries once again Lebanon’s avant-garde.“
Henry Zoghaib – Cedar wings
The
public saw the full talent of this multicultural artist
through the “eyes of music”. On the stage, his
classical piano stands near a synthesizer computer and video
equipments with a giant screen in the background stage.
Aboul-Hosn has the cool look of a long haired and bearded
artist; he is not only a full musician (composer and interpreter)
but also a painter and director of “clips”.
In short, Aboul-Hosn produces a “poetry of sounds”
based on the diversity of his creativity.

Quotes:
The Green
Line Concert at the Roman Ruins
Downtown – Beirut - 2001
After
his trips to Cairo, Vienna and the United Sates, Jamal’s
art was 10 years ahead of his time for it is aimed to all
human senses and circumstances. It is aimed at adults as
well as children, whose eyes are most receptive to his music.
Jean Chahine - Al-Shabaka
Jamal’s
Liberation Concert
at Al-Shqeef Castle (25-05-2001)
This
show is a rich artistic bouquet which lets tunes, words
and lights wipe out all traces of occupation from the majestic
ruins of this castle, and engrave in its stones a story
of glorious deeds. It represents a series of artistic scenes
that hide a powerful weapon of resistance, albeit of a different
kind.
- Al-Kifah al-‘Arabi
Jamal’s
paintings focus a lot on nature and flirt with his musical
productions: his music thus steps from temporal and harmonious
relations to colorful, plastic and surreal ones.
- ASharq al- A’wsat
We
hereby acclaim those who refused western hegemony and only
kept the west technical fields. The result being a fruitful
marriage of this technique and their oriental spirit, all
of which applies to young composer Jamal.

“Reflections from Jeita Grotto”- 1997
The
magical music revived the silent nature of the Jeita Grotto
and its calm water. The exceptional melodies of Jamal carry
you through sights and sounds gliding through them far beyond
natural boundaries.
- Dr. Nabil Haddad – Director of Mapas
- Lebanon
Jamal
exceeded time barriers to an ocean of creative tunes and
colors, which shadows titillate your eyes and ears.

The multi-media live show by Jamal
at the Muscat Festival 1999
Melodies
transported the listeners onto a magic carpet patch consisting
of mystic tunes, colors and imagination. The Arab audience
was enchanted by Jamal’s music as he formed a unique
orchestra, where new technologies served as means of conveying
the music he played.
Panorama Magazine - Jordan
"He
must have been aware of the warm reception on the piece
received, from the audience and the orchestra. The reflective
flavor and rhythmic energy of the piece made it a great
deal of fun to perform. His outstanding compositional technique,
and feeling for the text, was well expressed through every
phrase."
